What Time Does A Job Call You Back

Luciano Adami volunteer doctor in Shashamane

October 2008 Dear,
I finally got access to internet-enabling power to tell you that unfortunately this year 's I'm living in this town in Ethiopia: Shashamane.
Already 3 days. I'm working hard, but with a 'great satisfaction, nell'ambulatorio the Catholic mission.
Here comes a mass of poor people to get treatment and do not pay anything because they have nothing and it's just why I want to dedicate my time and my work to them, the joy you feel working with these very miserable, who continue to thank you right up to the door when the door or find them by chance on the street.
Yesterday I sent two children dying in the hospital for severe pneumonia complicated, thinking they were to die today told me that they are alive. An 'other girl came swollen with hunger! I sent the sisters to feed. I will not tell of AIDS cases in which, unfortunately, I see poor mothers of 6-7 children!
Tonight I was invited to the house of a guy who works with my brother, I left shocked by the poverty-even in decent-faced: a girl of 15 years I served freshly brewed coffee with the traditional Ethiopian ceremony and was dressed in rags.
Believe me it is still a lump in my throat thinking about it. Think about who took home an orphan child of 5 years, parents of the child were their neighbors. Do not imagine that there is poverty, and yet they were happy to have two guests with them, had warned us that maybe the coffee was not enough for everyone! As a gift we have brought him a kilogram of coffee, bananas and sugar will not tell you how happy they were!
This is my job as a doctor! Here I reconciled with my profession gives me the opportunity to help others! Here with me There is a good nurse of Trieste is enthusiastic about his experience. My brother is already adjusting to everything here on a mission and he's happy to do so. We are preparing to rebuild a bridge of logs and school Mejaha, projects with the founding of St. Zeno.
So far I've only seen for the wonderful night sky of Africa, because strangely enough is still raining, putting at risk the harvest, in which the people so much hope: you know that the mission of Ropi were killed over 1000 people hunger, and almost all children! This' fourth attempt that I write for, because sometimes there is no write corrente.Vi another night: Now I'm going to recharge my "batteries" in a clean bed, I almost ashamed to have, among many children and adults who are not so lucky.
believe my happiness to be here, hoping that God will also help me to be a useful tool for many poor and needy.
I embrace you all warmly.

Luciano-Adams a lucky among desperate people who love you -
