Article Naples proposes that the GMA was written by Mary Clare, a seventeen year old youth group associated with the Catholic Action of Casalnuovo di Napoli (Na), by which, during the October mission, was collected school supplies and personal hygiene. The idea came in to do a project to support the activities of the GMA Naples, very present in Campania. This material has been brought to Ethiopia from Nunzia and other volunteers, now in full swing in the village of Shashemane.
us and them, two opposing worlds?
As we try to make sense of this life, it seems that nowadays more and more a race against the havoc of society, we lose our true goal, that for which God has called us. This project made us realize and return to the main track, made us realize even more how much responsibility we have when this world is falling apart more and more deeper and deeper into a darkness that only the eternal light of God can overturn. Many times we wonder why we got to this point, how can one be so complex in structure and talent to create such evil and suffering to other beings of the same complex and fragile inner structure ... The answer is that it has lost the sense of faith and namely the inability of man to understand that we can not replace God ... that you can not repress that sense of emptiness with material objects of pain from the null value. Very often we take for granted the things we own, and consequently our conduct and our relationship to these things makes us slaves of our daily lives and our "too much", so we do not realize the road you are on and that there away from ourselves first and then by our IT. Here takes over our sense of self-interest after reading an article on the poverty of Aboriginal people and not only just think you are going back to racism, hatred for the other, for the person who does not understand and therefore exclude from our lives and abandoned to his fate loneliness closed in on itself ... And so we ask ourselves and think that more than pray for them we can not do, that there is here is here and there and that our place and our world is not in them. The error consists in this, that is to separate the world to divide them into categories, them and us. To be blunt, the Italian Catholic Action must fight against this idea totally busted: the world is' one and only one, and all deserve a chance, and the same rights and the same privileges, so I agree in saying that we young people Catholic Action with this great opportunity that the Lord has given us we could touch our being so selfish and blind to these problems that should be made of the place of honor at a banquet that God offers us. How often have you talked to child soldiers mutilated by evil men and despotic in the heart sick ... but in reality they are the real heroes, they are the ones who dare, it is they who believe, they are that despite their obvious fate trying with all forces them to cry more help to us who remain indifferent, because blind and bored by our same torpor. We gave a sharp stop to all this and there has only been possible thanks to the missionary month, we set up the tent in the square at Casalnuovo and we have not surrendered to the unfavorable weather, or the arrogance of the people .... But not everyone is so lucky, very fortunate for humanity there is still a small pure heart that beats in this sick world, and that allowed us to collect material for those tired-looking child who has already seen all of the enjoy life and it should have the age of the child's pre-adolescence, "luxury" that we have. What more if not "thank you" to people who have heard need help ... who have the gift of the mission and who have been in contact with the situation of poverty that hovers over Africa like a voracious beast of lives, which ultimately gave us first-hand that we should fight poverty, the suffering that we should destroy to make way for a pure and genuine smile. We are missionaries of the Word of God, that Christians would be if we did not need to make the best of our time, that if men would not save a boy who asks for help with his simple eyes off? Our success is in vain, our glory illusion ... It 's the poor who find the power of God ... We serve as a warning not to forget that there are also other and that are part of our family.
